CINI – Coordinator
CONSORZIO INTERUNIVERSITARIO NAZIONALE PER L’INFORMATICA
CINI will contribute to the dissemination of TOREADOR in the following ways. Firstly, as a major academic research center it will disseminate TOREADOR results via traditional academic channels, including the relevant working groups and conferences where CINI is present as an organizer or technical leader (e.g., IEEE 2014 International Workshop on Security and Privacy Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Service Computing). Secondly, it will target relevant research conferences (e.g., IEEE CLOUD 2015 8th International Conference on Cloud Computing), workshops (e.g., IEEE 2014 International Workshop on Security and Privacy Engineering), and journals (e.g., International Journal of Cloud Computing) for publication to widely disseminate the goals and results of the TOREADOR project. Finally, given is privileged position as a major IT university working on cloud and security, CINI will set–up a program of basic and advanced courses to present TOREADOR results to the university audience.
ENG
ENGINEERING – INGEGNERIA INFORMATICA SPA
ENG will publish the results of the project in international conferences and journals. Moreover ENG will exploit its industrial leadership position (especially in Italy) to disseminate the project results in sponsored workshops, to customers and business partners and within national and international industrial association. Furthermore ENG will use its Web 2.0 and social channels, such as the Web sites, Facebook, Twitter, to divulgate relevant information (e.g. results, events) on the project. ENG will internally disseminate project’s results and adopted technologies especially towards the Industry business unit, which has currently hundreds of customers.
SAP
SAP SE
SAP will aim at disseminating the project results in its developer community, especially targeting big data and security units (in particular related to the security log files use case). SAP will use major internal events (e.g., DKOM, Teched, typically attended by 1000+ people) to disseminate the results internally and with partners and customers. As mentioned, SAP has an Enterprise Threat Detection solution, and the results of TOREADOR well fit with the extension of this solution (e.g., extending to multiple customer scenarios, or integrating network data), in particular for a cloud deployment of the solution/ Besides these activities, SAP will present project results at academic as well as applied security conferences (e.g., ISSE) as well as actively aim at filing relevant IP.
CITY
THE CITY UNIVERSITY
CITY will contribute to the dissemination of TOREADOR mainly through traditional academic channels. Specifically, the following dissemination activities will be undertaken:
- publication in academic journals and conferences, e.g. IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, IEEE Cloud, ICWS conferences;
- organisation of workshops at relevant academic conferences themed on topics of interest for the TOREADOR project;
- presence in local and national press;
- inclusion of results of the TOREADOR project in university curricula, e.g. taught courses.
LIGHT
LIGHTSOURCE RENEWABLES ENERGY LTD
LIGHT will focus on industrial dissemination. In particular LIGHT will concentrate on industry stakeholders related to the solar PV market and Home Energy Management Systems in order to generate awareness within the business community. The dissemination will be based on a range TOREADOR 25 of strategies including participation in industry and technology events, raising business awareness, strategies to attract investment etc.
TAIGER
TAIGER SPAIN SL
Taiger will contribute to the dissemination and communication activities in different aspects. On the one hand Taiger is member of W3C and partecipates in many european and spanish technological platforms PLANETIC Platform (Plataforma tecnológica Española para la adopción y difusión de las tecnologías electrónicas, de la información y la comunicación), INES Platform (Iniciativa Española de Software y Servicios), LT-Innovate Platform (Language Technology Innovation Forum), Planet Data initiative, NEM Platform (Networked and Electronics Media). Taiger plans to promote and create awareness of the results of TOREAOR though these technological platforms and propose to pubish in W3C the standars for the modeling of big data processes that will be one of the project’s deliverables. On the other hand Taiger will make use of their internal PR department to create successs stories, issue press releases to the relevant media, promotional videos.
ATOS
ATOS SPAIN SA (ATOS)
ATOS will publish the results of the project in international conferences and journals. B&B
BIRD & BIRD LLP (B&B)
B&B being a legal practice with 26 offices all over the world and over 1.100 highly specialized lawyers, it is capable of having a wide and deep knowledge of all big data issues. B&B has a high number of clients active in this sector both on the service provider side and on the customer’s side. B&B will use these channels to distribute information through its network. Additionally, B&B has many links to law associations, law schools and trade press in multiple countries, which will also be leveraged.
DTA
DISTRETTO TECNOLOGICO AEROSPAZIALE S.C. A R.L.
DTA will contribute to the dissemination of TOREADOR results via traditional scientific dissemination channels, such as:
- publication in main national and international journals and conference proceedings, participation at relevant workshops, working groups and conferences;
- presentation of project results via web sites and other social media;
- presentation of results to its network of partners;
- organization of dissemination seminars with academia, industry and government in order to share the TOREADOR experiences and results and to gather feedbacks for the projects activities and future research initiatives.
JOT
JOT INTERNET MEDIA ESPANA SL
JOT will focus on industrial dissemination. Industrial dissemination will be the most critical part of the dissemination phase because of the relevance to address SMEs and large industry directly and to ensure technical take up by competitive players. In particular JOT will concentrate on industry stakeholders related to the online/IT sector in order to generate awareness within the business community. The dissemination will be completed by the following media: promotional material such as leaflets and flyers, awareness presentation, publicly availability (use) of test bed applications will work as an interest multiplier for both, business users and consumers.
